Inspiration tour Milan

As we were able to visit Milan's Design Week, Yodi and I traveled abroad for the first time since C.

It was worth it! Milan was very inspiring. Are you curious, and were you not there yourself? Don't worry, I'm happy to share some of what I saw there with you:

Seen at Rossana Orlandi's gallery:

Ombre Glass Chair by Amsterdam based Germans Ermičs,
Halo Horizon from the Landscape collection by Mandalaki,

Tables by Lucas Recchia

Lots of products with a more or less transparent character, like the beautiful desk and chair with gradient colors in sleek matt glass.

We also saw organically shaped tables by Lucas Recchia with a very natural look like drops of water. Interesting gradient colors in sleek matt glass.

Soda coffee table made of blown Murano glass by Miniforms, Transparent plastic book holders by Kartell, Golia coffee tables by Draga & Aurel

Beautiful handmade and mouth blown Murano glass tables by Miniforms. Constructed of three legs with a round top.
Draga & Aurel combined colored glass with concrete.

The colors at the Super Salone furniture show were mostly warm in tones such as Amber, Olive, and Mineral Blue. We immediately recognized our colors from Color Concept palette "Dragonfly" (AW22/23), as demonstrated in the center above.

The furniture design is mostly simple and usually curved/or rounded. This applies to both the backrest and the elegant wooden base. That wood just makes you want to touch it so smooth and organically shaped. I can enjoy such design immensely.

Even rigid materials like ceramics and marble look smooth in the rounded design.

Designs "Jake" and "Circuliar" @AstridDavidseDesign, flanked by images from the Kartell Shop in Milan

The round arch forms are everywhere. In the furniture, but also in the interior itself. Like here in the Kartell shop in Milan. There was a beautiful play of colors at the vistas from one space to another.

We had already picked up on these shapes of course and had also applied them in the above designs. All in line with the Mid Century trend that is now everywhere.

Hard work, sunhine, cold beers & icecreams, "vintage apartment" and great food

So much for Milan... Just a short impression. It was wonderful to immerse in design and colors again!
Hopefully, we'll go again next year in April, the usual time.

And so satisfying how our color palettes for 22/23 fit again perfectly.
